Delete your The Bridge account
This page explains how to request deletion of your account on The Bridge (developer: The Bridge) and what happens to your data when you do.
How to request deletion
- Enter the email address linked to your The Bridge account in the form below, along with your reason for leaving.
- Submit the request. You can also email us directly at [email protected] with the subject line “Delete my account”.
- We verify that the request comes from the account owner and confirm by email once the account has been deleted. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number, rank / job title
- Verification documents: licence number, INDOS number, seaman book, DG Form 1, company ID card
- Your content: posts, comments, messages and connections
- Device and usage data linked to your account
What we keep, and for how long
- Records we are required to keep by law (for example tax or accounting records), for the period that law requires
- A minimal record of the deletion request itself, so we can prove it was actioned
- Data already held in encrypted backups, which is purged on the normal backup rotation (within 90 days)
Everything else is permanently deleted from our active systems. Deletion is irreversible — your account cannot be restored afterwards.
